P & C (Parents and Citizens) ASSOCIATION

Traditionally this school has been strongly supported by its P&C Association which represents parents and interested citizens.  This association meets regularly at 7.30pm in the staff room, usually on the first Monday of the month (check the calendar for the next meeting date).  All parents and interested community members are most welcome. You can also visit the P&C Association web site.

CANTEEN                                                               

The school canteen operates each Tuesday and Friday.  Special care is taken by the Canteen Committee to select a range of nutritious foods.  Lunch orders should be written on paper bags, clearly stating the child's name, class and enclosing the necessary money. You can also pre-order lunches for the term by using the form below.

The school canteen is run by a paid manager with voluntary helpers under the auspices of the P&C Association.  All profits are directed back to the school.

SCHOOL UNIFORM & CLOTHING POOL          

West Pymble Public School uniform policy was determined at a special general meeting of the P&C Association which unanimously endorsed the wearing of the school uniform by the pupils attending this school.

The advantage of wearing school uniform include:

• the fostering of pride and a sense of belonging to this school.
• making a valuable contribution towards sensible standards of clothing, grooming and cleanliness.
• reducing undesirable distinctions because of uniformity of clothing
• providing identification and increasing security for the students.

• Hats are compulsory all year round.

• Summer uniform is worn in the summer months, winter uniform in the winter months.  In spring and autumn, parents decide according to weather conditions.

• All articles of clothing should be clearly named.

Many of the uniform items are available (new and second hand) from the Clothing Pool, which is open every Tuesday morning from 8.30 - 9.30am or by special arrangement.  This facility is situated next to the staffroom.  Orders can also be placed in the clothing pool box, outside the photocopy room.  The items will be sent home with your child.
